In Brief: USABancshares in Deal to Push Teen Site

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - USABancshares.com has aligned with Hawaiian Punch, a brand of Dr. Pepper/Seven Up Inc., to promote DoughNet.com, a money management site for teen-agers, for which USABancshares provides online banking services.

DoughNet.com and USABancshares.com plan to put 14 million "Dough Codes" on bottles and cans of Hawaiian Punch. The codes will direct teen consumers to DoughNet.com in search of cash prizes ranging from $50 to $10,000, funded by DoughNet.com directly in a USABancshares account.

USABanchares.com succeeded USAccess Bank as DoughNet's online banking partner in May when it began offering accounts through the teen portal.

DoughNet customers, supervised by their parents, can bank, shop, and donate online without a credit card. They can get access to 80 online merchants, including J.Crew, CDNow, Barnes & Noble.com, and 11 nonprofit organizations such as Rock the Vote and Rainforest Alliance.
