The American Stock Exchange announced Thursday that it had begun trading of Vanguard Group's Mid-Cap Value and Mid-Cap Growth exchange-traded funds.

The Malvern, Pa., fund company said the ETF portfolios are versions of its new equity index funds, Vanguard Mid-Cap Value Index and Vanguard Mid-Cap Growth Index. The funds are offered both in traditional investor shares and the ETF shares.
They seek to track the performance of the value and growth portions of the Morgan Stanley Capital International US Mid Cap 450 Index.
