Francis X. Suozzo has joined Alliance Capital Management as a banking industry analyst after six years at S.G. Warburg & Co.
Mr. Suozzo's shift came after Warburg last week slashed its U.S. equity research staff in half. The investment firm has been restructuring since its acquisition last July by Swiss Bank Corp. for $1.4 billion.
The analyst said his move had actually been in the works before the developments at Warburg. "I'm thrilled to be making the move," he said, "and the timing turned out to be fabulous for me."
At Alliance, he will replace Sandra L. Yeager, who remains at the firm as an analyst but switched Jan. 1 to coverage of the media industry from banking.
Before joining Warburg, Mr. Suozzo had been a banking industry analyst for five years at CS First Boston Corp.
