In Brief: Wells to Keep Using SEI Trust Software

OAKS, Pa. - Wells Fargo & Co. has renewed a contract for five years with SEI Investments to use its Trust 3000 investment processing software.

The San Francisco banking company was one of the first to install the software, which performs core account processing and lets banks deliver trust services through various channels, including the Web in real time.

Wells is the old Norwest Corp. of Minneapolis, which bought the California company in 1998 and took its name. Last month the new Wells completed a 10-month merger on the Trust 3000 system of the two companies' 105,00 trust accounts.
