Kemenade most recently served as the CIO of ING Netherlands where, according to the bank, he helped transform the IT organization into one that could work in an agile way to better serve the customer.

He first joined ING in 2003 as Internet Manager at Postbank NV, and subsequently served a variety of executive roles for the bank. He played a role in managing the IT merger of Postbank and ING.

Kemenade began his new post as ING's top CIO on February 27. He takes the place of Steve Van Wyk, who was ING's global CIO until January, when he became CIO and COO at PNC in Pittsburgh.
