Italian Fintech Company Panini Names Michael Pratt CEO

Panini has promoted Michael Pratt to CEO, replacing John O'Malley, who has left to pursue other interests, the Torino, Italy-based financial technology company announced Sept. 20.

Panini sells image capture technology for checks and other payment-related documents, enabling teller capture, back-counter capture, remote deposit capture, point of sale capture and remittance processing.

Pratt joined Panini in July 2007 as director of marketing for Panini North America, and was promoted to global chief marketing officer in March 2009, and has helped lead the company's diversification strategy. He has also served in senior executive roles with Standard Register, AT&T and NCR.

"Our strategy will be based on optimized execution in our core business of payments truncation, combined with accelerated development of solutions in emerging payment markets," Pratt said in a press release.
