Jack Henry & Associates Inc. said it has upgraded its RemitPlus system for automated processing of imaged payments using Key-Pay Convene data completion technology from Orbograph Ltd., a unit of the Israeli software company Orbotech Ltd.
The Monett, Mo., vendor said Wednesday that its ProfitStars division is using the Orbograph system to accelerate the processing of remittance exceptions, which cannot be read automatically. RemitPlus extracts data from the vouchers and coupons accompanying payments to be transmitted to business' accounts receivable system.
The upgraded system sends unreadable data automatically to off-site workers, who process only the data components that are not read automatically. To protect consumer privacy, other data is not sent to them, Jack Henry said.
