Jack Henry Service to Help Banks Prepare for Digital Banking Rules

Although there are few industries as heavily regulated as banking, Washington has yet to provide clear rules around online and mobile banking.

With that in mind, Jack Henry & Associates is launching a framework to help banks navigate federal and state standards for their online and mobile banking operations. The service is called Gladiator.

The Monett, Mo. company introduced the product last month through its ProfitStars division.

"We may not see specific guidance that addresses home and mobile banking for some time, leaving banks and credit unions in need of clear direction and practical standards," said ProfitStars president David Foss, in a press release.

Gladiator is based on FFIEC IT Examination Handbook and E-Banking Booklet with references to FFIEC Authentication Guidance (2005) and the FFIEC Authentication Guidance Supplement (2011), Jack Henry said, in the press release.
