Jack Henry said last week that the credit union would use in-house the Episys core processing software, offered through its Symitar division.

University Federal, which is replacing a system that has been in place for 18 years, said it was drawn to the Episys software because it can be customized easily to support the credit union's products and services. The credit union also said that it was impressed that Episys users can share with each other proprietary banking applications that have been designed to run on the Jack Henry core banking application.

The credit union has about 122,000 members and $900 million of assets.
