JPMorgan Chase has named Sarah Youngwood chief financial officer for consumer and community banking.
The company promoted Youngwood from the position of director of investor relations, according to an internal memo issued Tuesday. She will replace David Owen, who was promoted last month to be the company's chief administrative officer.
Youngwood will report to Gordon Smith, the division's chief executive, and to Marianne Lake, the corporate CFO.

JPMorgan has not yet selected a successor for Youngwood. She will continue to oversee investor relations through its first-quarter earnings release.
The promotion was earlier reported by Bloomberg.
