The risk consulting company Kroll Inc. has started an employment consulting unit, Security Placement Services.
Kroll, a unit of the consulting company Marsh & McLennan Cos. Inc., said last week that the new unit sells such services as background screening and placement of security professionals for financial and academic institutions, government agencies, and other industries.
"In the course of providing our security consulting and advisory services, we observed a noticeable increase in demand for highly qualified security management," Timothy Horner, the managing director of security placement services, said in a press release Thursday. "Through the addition of our security placement service offering, we will be helping our clients narrow the gap between vulnerability and readiness."
