La.'s Whitney to Use Jack Henry System

Whitney Holding Corp. of New Orleans will use Jack Henry & Associates Inc.'s SilverLake core processing system in an automation project at Whitney National Bank.

The $12.4 billion-asset Whitney Holding plans to install the SilverLake system in-house and to integrate it with ArgoKeys branch automation software from Argo Data Resource Corp. of Dallas, Jack Henry said Monday.

Whitney National Bank also will use other Jack Henry applications, including those for teller automation, sales force automation and marketing, enterprise content management, fraud detection and prevention and check imaging the Monett, Mo., vendor said.

"Among the fundamental points that ultimately supported our decision were the system's extensive functionality and the ability to customize that functionality to support our unique business requirements," Francisco "Frank" DeArmas, an executive vice president at Whitney Holding and its chief information officer, said in a Jack Henry press release.
