LIBERTY BANK, Honolulu, has named Gilbert K. Niimi as vice president for sales and marketing and Amelia Lum as resident vice president in its main office.

Also, Doris H. Haneda, previously in charge of marketing, was named vice president for banking services, replacing Darwin Ing, who left the bank.

Mr. Niimi is responsible for business development, marketing, and branch administration in the newly created position.

He was formerly vice president-Hawaii sales at Hawaiian Airlines.

Mr. Lum rejoins the bank after retiring in September 1989 as senior vice president-banking services and then serving as a consultant to the bank for three years.
