Marquette Bank In Minnesota Hires Peterka as Branch President

Marquette Bank, Minneapolis, has hired P. Gregory Peterka as president of its Lakeville office.

The $920 million-asset bank is owned by Minnesota businessman Carl Pohland.

Mr. Peterka had been president, chief executive, and director of St. Paul-based MidAmerica Bank from 1991 until last December. He left for personal reasons, Marquette said.

Before joining MidAmerica, Mr. Peterka worked 23 years for First Bank System. He was president of First Bank Burnsville from 1984 to 1987 and of First Bank Hopkins from 1987 to 1991. In 1991 he was briefly vice president and manager of small-business and consumer banking at First Bank System Inc., Minneapolis.

Marquette Bank also announced that it had hired Barbara G. Petersen as vice president and manager of credit administration.

Ms. Petersen was senior vice president and chief credit officer of American Bank in St. Paul. She is a past president and board member of the Minnesota chapter of Robert Morris Associates. She also taught credit analysis and credit administration to Russian bankers at the Academy of National Economy in Moscow.
