MasterCard Has New Technology Chief

MasterCard Inc. announced Monday that it has promoted Michael Manchisi to chief technology officer.

Mr. Manchisi, who has worked at the Purchase, N.Y., payments network for 21 years, had been a group executive for strategic account management. In his new role he succeeded Rob Reeg, who was promoted last month to president of the global technology and operations unit in O'Fallon, Mo. The unit manages all MasterCard operations.

Mr. Manchisi will oversee "computer infrastructure and operations, network engineering, customer support, processing solutions and service definition, and customer technology relationship management," MasterCard said in a press release.
