MasterCard Inc. is using fraud detection software from Nice Systems Ltd.'s Actimize unit to evaluate debit and automated teller machine transactions.
Actimize, a New York vendor, said Thursday that the Purchase, N.Y., payments company is using its analytics technology as part of the Fraud Monitor service it offers to issuers.
Nice Systems, of Israel, bought Actimize in 2007.
The top five banks and thrifts have combined total assets of nearly $13 trillion.
