A New Jersey utility has agreed to use custom communication technology from Metavante Technologies Inc.
The Milwaukee banking software company said Wednesday that Public Service Electric and Gas Co., of Newark, would use its CSF Designer and FasTest applications to produce customized bills, statements, marketing letters, direct mail, and other notices for customers.
The CSF Designer software is used to design and create the communications, and the FasTest software accelerates the testing process. They are offered through Metavante's image solutions unit, which also offers check imaging technology.
The Public Service Enterprise Group Inc. unit is replacing a legacy customer information system with a customer management application from SAP AG. It said one reason it chose Metavante's software was that it was designed to be integrated into the SAP product.
