Mid-America payment exchange elects Levin of Normandy Bank.

Robert L. Levin, president of Normandy Bank, St. Louis, was elected chairman of Mid-America Payment Exchange, Kansas City, Mo.

Elected vice chairman was Elias J. Eliopoulos, senior vice president, of First National Bank of Omaha, a unit of First National of Nebraska Inc.

Mid-America Payment Exchange is the regional automated clearing house association responsible for encouraging and facilitating electronic funds transfers in Arkansas, southern Illinois, southwestern Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and Oklahoma.

Mr. Levin and Mr. Eliopoulos, in conjunction with the board of directors, will direct the association's activities and represent the 1,850 financial institutions that are members.

Mr. Levin has been a director of the clearing house association since 1988. He is active in the American Bar Association, serving on the consumer financial services committee, electronic funds transfer subcommittee, and ad hoc payments committee.

He is also chairman of the Missouri delegation to the Conference of State Bank Supervisors.

Mr. Eliopoulos has been a director of the clearing house association since 1985. He is also on the board of Nebraska Electronic Transfer System, Plus Inc., and Data management Products Inc., a software company owned by First National of Nebraska.
