Missouri Bank to Open Offices in Kansas City Area

First State Bank of St. Charles in Missouri is looking to expand into the Kansas City area with two new offices.

The $228 million-asset company is planning to open home mortgage lending and origination offices in Overland Park, Kan., and Lee's Summit, Mo., that will have a combined staff of 40 to 50 people, the Kansas City Business Journal reported Friday.

First State already has four branches around St. Louis, along with three mortgage lending offices near St. Louis and Lake of the Ozarks.
