NEW YORK -- J.P. Morgan & Co. announced Wednesday that it has arranged a $ 100 million, three-year senior financing for Banco del Estado de Chile.
The loan represents the first foreign-currency borrowing by a Chilean government agency in more than 10 years and will be used for trade finance.
The government-owned Banco del Estado is Chile's largest bank, with 207 branches and $5.4 billion in assets at yearend.
Morgan is acting as arranger and agent for the loan.
