Most Powerful Women in Banking 2022: Top Teams

The five banks chosen as our top teams this year were notable for the presence of women in their senior ranks and their efforts to support women internally and externally.

Sound Community bank has three women in its C-suite and 69% of its operating/management committee team are women.

Bank of America added five new management team members — three of whom are women. Today, three of eight lines of business at BofA are led by women.

BMO Harris provided new support and training for its largely female wealth management division, resulting in increased sales for its members. The bank also created two special credit programs in 2021 to support women-owned, Black and Latinx small businesses.

Three women joined the C-suite at First Horizon in 2021. The three joined a C-suite that already had a female chief risk officer, chief credit officer and a chief communications officer.

And last summer, U.S. Bank created a centralized ESG office led by Chief Social Responsibility Officer Reba Dominski. All the women on its team list this year are involved in the bank's ESG efforts.
