NCR in Deal for ATM Software Provider

NCR Corp., the automated teller machine manufacturer, said Thursday that it is buying Gasper Corp., a Dayton-based provider of ATM management software.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Gasper customers include some of the largest ATM networks. The privately held company, founded in 1983, would operate as a subsidiary of NCR and remain headquartered in Dayton. David Gasper, its founder, would remain president.

"For years, NCR and Gasper Corp. have served many of the same financial institutions, so we are very familiar with each other," said William Eisenman, senior vice president of NCR Worldwide Customer Services. "Our objective is to leverage the expertise of both companies to bring value-added solutions to our customers and their partners."
