NCR Reportedly Target of Blackstone, Carlyle Buyout Offer

NCR in Duluth, Ga., may be a target for a possible takeover by private equity firms Blackstone Group and Carlyle Group.

Blackstone and Carlyle are making a joint bid of more than $10 billion for the manufacturer of ATMs and mobile-banking software, unnamed sources told Reuters. Blackstone and Carlyle are competing against other buyout firms to buy NCR, including Apollo Global Management and Thoma Bravo, the report said.

An NCR spokesman did not immediately respond to Reuters' request for comment.
