Former Visa executive Bond R. Isaacson joined Bank of America as payments executive for its card services division. His mission: strategic development, tactical design and implementation of new forms of electronic payments. Most recently, he was Visa's executive vice president of member and merchant sales, as well as president of e-Visa, responsible for all e-commerce business and strategy. A 20-year veteran of IBM Corp., he also has a long relationship with his new colleagues in Charlotte, NC, having spent the latter half of the 1990s as IBM's finance executive responsible for selling and implementing solutions at NationsBank, the predecessor of today's Bank of America.

Mette Lind Olesen joined Princeton eCom, the online bill payment and presentment vendor, as chief technology officer. She had been vice president of information systems for Synergy Healthcare, based in Fort Washington, PA, and she has also held a number of senior technology positions at e-business and Internet commerce companies.

Electronic bill payment pioneer CheckFree Corp. promoted Stephen Olsen to executive vice president and general manager of its electronic commerce division. He had been EVP for operations of the division. In his new post, Olsen adds responsibility for sales and marketing, as well as research and development. The former chief information officer for Dun & Bradstreet Software joined CheckFree as CIO in 1997.

Fiserv Inc., the Brookfield, WI-based data processing and information systems company, promoted Dave Ulrich to president and Paulette Reid to executive vice president of its IPS-Sendero unit. Ulrich had directed sales and marketing for IPS-Sendero, while Reid was senior vice president of operations. The promotions followed the retirement of Jerry Weiner and Larry Urbach, the IPS founders who served as chief executive officer and president, respectively.

Investment banker Peter Maillet, who co-founded LabMorgan, J.P. Morgan & Co.'s e-finance unit, a little more than a year ago, joined iFormation Group as a managing director in its New York office. iFormation is a technology business incubator owned by The Boston Consulting Group, General Atlantic Partners and Goldman Sachs. Before LabMorgan, Maillet was J.P. Morgan's IT business manager, and earlier ran Morgan's Asia Pacific region.

Indianapolis-based Internet banking provider VIFI, which targets community banks, hired John Schmidler as vice president of sales. Most recently, Schmidler served as a regional manager at Rockwell, he focused on enterprise software and technology market development.
