The credit union is deploying NCR Corp.'s 5886 and 5890e models, both of which use NCR's intelligent deposit system allowing for envelope-free cash and check deposits. It has agreed to replace all its ATMs during the next five years. Pendum provides maintenance, cash replenishment, deposit pick-up, and other functions for the fleet.

The credit union said in a press release that it expects to reduce its deposit-processing costs by automating the verification process through the NCR machines. It also hopes to cut empty-envelope fraud.

"Upgrading our ATM fleet is one way we continue to make our services more convenient, user-friendly, and cost-competitive for our members," Julie Roy, the credit union's assistant vice president of operations, said in the release.
