Harland Clarke Corp., the San Antonio check printing unit of M&F Worldwide Corp. of New York, said Tuesday it has promoted Dan Singleton to chief operating officer.
He started his new job Sept. 2 and succeeded Alan Westfall, who has retired.
Mr. Singleton was previously Harland Clarke's executive vice president for sales and marketing. He will retain those duties; he new ones include oversight of the payments and Checks in the Mail business units.
Harland Clarke was created last year when M&F purchased John H. Harland Co. of Atlanta and combined it with Clarke American Corp., a San Antonio check printer it had acquired in 2005.
