The Chicago bank holding company Northern Trust Corp. has joined the Allpoint Network to give its customers surcharge-free access to automated teller machines.
Allpoint, a Bethesda, Md., unit of the Houston ATM operator Cardtronics Inc., announced the agreement Monday. Customers of Allpoint members have access to 32,000 ATMs nationwide.
Donald Berk, Northern Trust's senior vice president of enterprise banking product and process management, said the ATM deal will benefit customers "as we continue to expand our national presence."
