First Bancorp in San Juan, Puerto Rico, has added a managing director from a New York private equity firm to its board.
The $12.7-asset company disclosed in a regulatory filing on Wednesday that Joshua Bresler will serve as the board representative for Thomas H. Lee Partners, where he is a managing director. The firm owns 19.1% of First Bancorp's common stock.
Bresler, who also joined the board of FirstBank Puerto Rico, has served as a nonvoting board observer at the company since 2011.
Bresler joined Thomas H. Lee Partners in 2002. Previously, he worked at Goldman, Sachs & Co.
