Old National Bancorp (ONB) in Evansville, Ind., has named a former chief justice of the Indiana Supreme Court to its board.
Randall Shepard is filling a vacancy created by the retirement of Joseph Barnette, the $8.6 billion-asset company said Monday. Shepard retired in March after serving on the Indiana Supreme Court for 27 years, including 25 as the chief justice.
Shepard's background includes service in city government and as a judge in Evansville and Vanderburgh County. In 2006, he was appointed by U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts to serve on a committee that advises the U.S. Supreme Court.
