Online Resources Corp. has agreed to offer an automated payment service from SoundBite Communications Inc.
Online Resources in Chantilly, Va., said Monday that it would integrate SoundBite's Agentless Direct Collect software with its CollectPay application, which billers use to pursue payments from consumers. The agreement expands upon a similar arrangement between SoundBite, in Bedford, Mass., and Internet Transaction Services, which Online Resources bought in August.
SoundBite's automated voice technology enables billers to contact customers without requiring live agents to participate. The software is to be offered in markets such as consumer lending, telecommunications, utilities, and health care.
Chris Selland, SoundBite's vice president of business development, said in a press release that combining his company's software with Online Resources' would improve "productivity and maximize consumer options while minimizing costs. Our clients can now realize the benefits of a truly integrated agentless payment and collections solution."
