The Glastonbury, Conn., core banking provider said Wednesday that Hildebrando would market, install, and support its software at financial companies in those regions

"As the demand for more modern technology infrastructure continues to grow within the Mexican and Central American markets, we believe our partnership with Open Solutions will allow us to better satisfy the needs of institutions in our target market," Humberto Sanchez Sandoval, a Hildebrando director, said in an Open Solutions press release.

Open Solutions announced similar reselling agreements in several other countries last year, including Thailand Equipment Research Co. Ltd., R Systems Inc. in India, and Celero Solutions, a Canadian technology services joint venture owned by several credit unions in that country.

Last week, Open Solutions said that Ixe Banco, a unit of the Mexican financial company Ixe Grupo Financiero SA de CV, would use its core banking software as part of an expansion strategy aimed at winning more business among the unbanked in Mexico.
