Outsider Picked as Bank of America CFO

Bank of America Corp. CEO Brian Moynihan went outside the company by hiring Charles Noski as the company's chief financial officer.

Noski, 57, has held financial posts at a number of companies, most recently at defense contractor Northrop Grumman Corp. where he was CFO from 2003 to 2005. His was also the CFO at AT&T Corp. from 1999 to 2002. His hiring ends a search that began earlier this year, when B of A moved Joe Price to run consumer, small business and credit cards. Noski will move to Charlotte and join the company May 11.

Neil Cotty, the company's chief accounting officer, had been interim CFO. He will return to his prior post.

Noski has some experience with financial services companies. He has been a director at Morgan Stanley, chairing the company's audit committee. He was also a senior advisor for The Blackstone Group in 2003.
