The New York payroll card provider Payoneer Inc. has begun using device identification software from 41st Parameter Inc. of Scottsdale, Ariz., as part of its online security system.
When people apply online to receive Payoneer's cards, 41st Parameter's PCPrint software makes a record of their computers that can be used to authorize subsequent payments to their card accounts.
Ori Eisen, 41st Parameter's founder and chief innovation officer, said in a press release that the software will help Payoneer "assure their banking customers that the individuals they make payments to are valid."
