PayPal Inc., the San Jose payments subsidiary of eBay Inc., has named several new executives.

It said Thursday that it had hired Jack Stephenson as senior vice president of strategy and new ventures; Mary Anne Gillespie as vice president of sales; Barry Herstein as chief marketing officer; and Robert Mansell as vice president of product development.
Mr. Stephenson was a director with the consulting company McKinsey & Co. Ms. Gillespie has held marketing positions with the technology companies Oracle Corp. and Informatica Corp.
Mr. Herstein was the senior vice president for payments marketing and communications for American Express Co. Mr. Mansell was an executive with Visa Inc.
