Peoples, Albina CEOs Leaving

Peoples Bancorp Inc. of Marietta, Ohio, and Albina Community Bancorp in Portland, Ore., said their chief executives are leaving.

Peoples said late Wednesday that David Mead, its interim CEO since August, is returning to work at Marietta College. The $1.8 billion-asset company said in a regulatory filing that Mead will remain a director of the bank and will stay on as CEO until a successor is found. Mead had been a finance professor at Marietta College from 2004 to 2006.

Albina said Thursday that Robert McKean will retire as its president and CEO on Aug. 1. He will also leave the $147.8 million-asset company's board.

Albina said it had expected McKean's retirement. It said Cheryl Cebula has become CEO of the bank and would join the company's board.
