Peoples Community National Bank in Bremen, Ga., has changed its name and logo.
The $91.7 million-asset financial institution said in a press release Sunday that it will now be called American Commerce Bank. The holding company has been renamed American Commerce Bancshares.
"The company's rebranding initiative is part of an overall effort to better position the bank for growth and acquisition efforts in the future," Larry Matthews, president and chief executive, said in the release. "The bank's new name better reflects its evolution from a small community bank, to a broader and more competitive financial institution."
The bank currently operates one branch in west Georgia, according to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.
There are no planned changes to the management team or staff, Matthews said.
