PNC Bank FSB Names Executive

PNC Bank FSB, the savings and loan subsidiary of PNC Bank Corp. of Pittsburgh, has hired Robert H. Young as its chief financial officer and a senior vice president.

In addition to financial and regulatory reporting, Mr. Young will be responsible for managing the financial activities of PNC's program with the American Automobile Association's AAA Financial Services Corp.

Mr. Young was the executive vice president, chief financial officer, secretary, and treasurer of $2.2 billion-asset First Western Bancorp in New Castle, Pa. (Sky Financial Group, a $4.8 billion-asset bank holding company based in Bowling Green, Ohio, is scheduled to buy it in the third quarter.)

Earlier he worked for Coopers & Lybrand.

At PNC he succeeded John Battaglia, who left to become the CFO of Aris Corp., a financial services firm in State College, Pa., the bank said.
