CINCINNATI - An affiliate of PNC Financial Corp. of Pittsburgh unveiled a loan program to help residents of low- and moderate-income neighborhoods improve the energy efficiency of their homes.
Financial support from Cincinnati Gas and Electric Co. has enabled Central Trust Co., the PNC affiliate, make $400,000 available at a low interest rate.
The loans will be made as part of Central Trust's Open Door program, designed for families in designated neighborhoods,
Qualified homeowners with annual family incomes of as much as $43,000 may borrow up to $5,000 at 5% interest for projects such as furnace repair or replacement, insulation, central air conditioning, and window replacement.
