Poage in Ky. Names Business Lawyer to Board

Poage Bankshares in Ashland, Ky., has named Daniel King 3rd to its board.

King, 65, started his term on March 17, the $415 million-asset company said in a news release Monday.

Poage, the holding company for Town Square Bank, said that King was hired because of his experience as a business lawyer. King, who started his legal career in 1978, has been the assistant attorney for Boyd County for the last 30 years.

King filled the board seat of former Chairman Thomas Rupert, who died in November. However, Thomas Carver remains chairman of the board; Carver was promoted from vice chairman in December.

Town Square has 11 branches in Kentucky, according to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.
