PrivateBancorp in Chicago Taps President for New Business Line

PrivateBancorp Inc. has named a president of personal client services to oversee a new line of business that combines some of the Chicago company's offerings.

Brant Ahrens is responsible for private wealth services, which includes trust, investment management and private banking, and will continue to led the community banking group, which includes retail, small business and mortgage banking, the $12.4 billion-asset company said on Tuesday.

Personal client services joins PrivateBancorp's Illinois commercial banking, national commercial banking and commercial real estate, the company said.

Ahrens joined PrivateBancorp in 2007 from LaSalle Bank.
