Regions Financial Corp., Birmingham, Ala., has transferred Douglas T. Yeates to Anderson, S.C., to run the bank it bought there last month.

He will be president and chief executive officer of the newly named Regions Bank of Anderson, formerly Anderson National Bank. Regions bought its holding company, Anderson-based First United Bank, on March 14.

Mr. Yeates was president and CEO of Regions Bank of Habersham County, a unit of Regions Bank of Georgia. The Anderson bank is now a unit of Regions Bank of South Carolina, Aiken.

Mr. Yeates will also oversee Quick Credit Corp., which was First United's consumer finance unit. Roy D. Little remains president of Quick Credit and will continue to manage its daily operations.
