Regulation C

Regulation C [12 CFR 203 - Home Mortgage Disclosure] - requires banks which have an office in an MSA and over a certain threshold in assets (the amount is adjusted annually) to gather government monitoring information (relating to age, sex, race, national origin) on applications for home improvement and home purchase loan applications, as well as refinancings, and record that information on a Loan Application Register and report it to the government in order to aid it in tracking lending patterns and analyzing them for any evidence of illegal discrimination.
