Renasant in Tupelo, Miss., is getting a head start naming its next CEO.
The $8.8 billion-asset company disclosed in a press release that Robin McGraw will retire as CEO in May 2018. Mitchell Waycaster, Renasant’s president and chief operating officer, will succeed McGraw at that time.
McGraw, who was 70 when Renasant filed its proxy statement earlier this year, will remain chairman. He has been the company’s CEO since 2000; he previously served as its general counsel.
Waycaster, who was 58 when the proxy was filed, has been the company’s president and chief operating officer since January 2016.
