Roundup: N.J.'s Summit Completes $90M Acquisition

Summit Bancorp said it had completed its acquisition of Central Jersey Financial Corp., East Brunswick, for $90.2 million in stock.

Central Jersey common stock was exchanged for 0.875 share of Summit stock. Central Jersey, with $464 million in assets, has six offices in Middlesex County.

Summit, a $22 billion-asset banking company, is expected to complete its acquisition of BMJ Financial Corp., Bordentown, in the first quarter of 1997.
