RSA Customers Get One-Use Tokens

EMC Corp. has agreed to offer multifactor authentication tokens from Innovative Card Technologies Inc., a Los Angeles vendor also known as InCard, to customers of its RSA unit.

InCard announced the two-year marketing agreement with EMC Wednesday.

Its ICT DisplayCard is shaped like a standard payment card and generates one-time passwords that people use to authenticate themselves when accessing financial companies' Web sites and corporate networks.

The two companies collaborated to develop InCard's tokens, which use RSA's Authentication Manager software.

Users press a button on the card to generate a new password, which expires as soon as it is used.
