John McAleer Joins OTC Communications as Managing Director NEW YORK, July 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Rx Communications Group, LLC, afinancial communications firm specializing in the life science andhealthcare industries, today announced the launch of OTC Communications, anew division created to specifically address the unique needs of micro-caplife science and healthcare companies, with a particular focus on companieswhose market capitalizations are under $100 million. John "Jack" McAleer joined the Company as Managing Director of OTCCommunications, for which he has overall management responsibility,including business development and client account management. OTC Communications' mandate is to partner with clients to provide fullservice, senior-level investor and media relations capabilities, marryingthe Company's deep industry experience with a new expertise in reaching outto the key investor influencers interested in micro-cap companies. He mostrecently served as Principal and Owner of Berwyn Capital and Advisory, afinancial advisory organization he founded in 2001. At Berwyn Capital, Mr.McAleer successfully completed public and/or private equity financings andbridge loans for an international base of clients, provided consultingservices to companies during public offerings and organized non-deal roadshows, among other services. Prior to founding Berwyn Capital and Advisory, from 1997 to 2000, Mr.McAleer was Managing Director of Capital Markets for the investment bankingfirm of Auerbach, Pollack & Richardson. While there, Mr. McAleer managedinvestment banking, research and sales operations, taking part in theunderwriting of approximately 125 deals per year. Before that, Mr. McAleer served as Managing Director and Partner ofFoley, Mufson, Howe & Company, a Philadelphia-based investment bankingfirm, and as Vice President, Corporate Syndicate at the Philadelphiabrokerage and investment banking firm of W.H. Newbold and Sons. He beganhis career at Butcher & Singer, Inc., in various positions, includingAssistant Vice President, Corporate Syndication and Assistant VicePresident, Institutional Bond Sales.
