The Mountain View, Calif., online payment processor CyberSource Corp. is developing two payment services aimed at small businesses through the Authorize.Net unit it acquired in November.
CyberSource said Monday that it would introduce the Simple Checkout service this month to let online merchants set up "Buy Now" and "Donate" buttons on their Web pages.
The service was designed for organizations that rely on donations and for specialty merchants that typically sell only one item per order.
Next month CyberSource plans to introduce a Merchant Boarding Application Programming Interface that can transfer information from a reseller's merchant to Authorize.Net.
The interface is designed to help resellers, such as banks or independent sales organizations, avoid re-entering data when they sign up online merchant suppliers.
