Short Takes: GE Capital Adding a Growth Equity Fund

GE Capital Services' investment management arm is adding a portfolio to its family of GE Funds.

The Stamford, Conn.-based company is rolling out GE Premier Growth Equity Fund, which will seek long-term growth of capital by investing in large-cap and mid-cap growth stocks.

David Carlson, a senior vice president, will manage the assets in the new portfolio in addition to the $4 billion he already oversees in pensions and other mutual funds.

GE Investments manages $56 billion of assets in U.S. and international stock and bond funds.
