Small-Bank Holding Company QCR Opts for Fundtech Cash Management

Fundtech has added a customer for its cash management system.

The bank technology firm said Tuesday that QCR Holdings (QCRH) in Moline, Ill., will offer Fundtech's CASHplus with SmartNav to corporate customers of the $2.3 billion-asset holding company's community bank subsidiaries.

The system lets companies manage payables and receivables, liquidity and other parts of their financial operations via a single platform.

Companies can configure the system to accommodate their preferences and processes, according to Fundtech.

"Banks that have been trying to run cash management businesses with legacy solutions are now realizing that if they are to remain competitive, it is imperative that they provide intuitive, online solutions that offer a superior user experience," Mary Ellen Putnam, Fundtech's executive vice president, said in a press release.

Banks can run the system in-house through Fundtech's service bureau or deploy it as a software service.

QCR owns Quad City Bank and Trust in Bettendorf, Iowa; Cedar Rapids Bank and Trust in Iowa; and Rockford Bank and Trust in Illinois.
