Nuestro Banco, a Raleigh start-up focused on the Hispanic market, has agreed to use a core processing application from Fiserv Inc.
The Brookfield, Wis., technology company said Monday that Nuestro Banco would use its Fiserv ITI's Premier core banking software.
Nuestro Banco, which opened in September, has one branch but plans to open two a year for the next several years. It said that it selected the software because it is designed to scale as the bank's needs grow.
Another factor in Fiserv's favor was that it offers several Spanish-language applications, including online banking and call center software, as well as a Hispanic Banking Toolkit designed to help bank employees communicate with Hispanic customers, Nuestro Banco said.
